MC Entertainment is a quartet made up of Moe Lemieux, Claude Remy, Conny Aube and Mo Prieur.
Moe Lemieux was born and raised in Cornwall. He began playing piano professionally at age 15 and is still active now. In 1964, Moe met drummer Carm Aube, and worked with him until Carm passed away in February, 2006. Moe did club work in Reno, Nevada and played at various Club Med's in the Caribbean.
Moe and Carm, along with hank Primeau, formed a trio in 1982 and started playing on the Canadian Empress in 1985. Moe is in his 23rd year with St. Lawrence Cruise Lines and has accompanied various artists over the years. In memory of Carm, Moe composed the song, "Carmel", for the CD titled MC & CO.
Claude Remy comes from a musical family. Born and raised in Ottawa, he has performed in Eastern Canada, Florida and California. Claude also recorded for Columbia Records in the 70's. He is entering his 9th season on the Canadian Empress.
Conny Aube started playing drums at 6 years old under the influence of his brother, Carm. After extensive training with older musicians, he started playing professionally at age 13 and doing gigs in and around Cornwall. Years later, he went on the road with Jim Parisi, toured the islands and Ontario at large. He then met musicians from New York and later toured with the Lionel Hampton band.
Now he plays on the Canadian Empress, replacing his brother, Carm, who passed away in February 2005. He also owns a clothing store in Cornwall.
Mo Prieur (Emmo) is a native of Cornwall. He took up the clarinet in high school and fell in love with music. Later, he began playing saxophone and flute. He then moved to Toronto to complete his education and pursue a musical career. He has played Jazz, R & B, rock and big band gigs. He has also spent time recording in studios.
After 32 years in Toronto, Mo has retired back to Cornwall and has re-acquainted with musical friends such as Moe, Conny and Claude, and still has a love for music.
