A CD Release Event was held on November 7th at 8:00pm, at Indie Guitars/DreamBuilderStudios at 2107 Second Street West in Cornwall. The night featured live performances by Stephanie Coleman, Graham Greer (with a special appearance by Sara Murphy), The General Electryk and Trench Town Oddities.
It was an exciting night, bringing together musicians of many different genres, local dignitaries and fans. The event featured a cash bar and refreshments, courtesy of Moustache Joe’s and was a huge success.
Over 120 people attended the CD Release Event, which raised over $1000 for the Cornwall Community Hospital Foundation.

On Saturday, December 19, 2009, The General Electryk put on a great performance at the Cornwall Square. Many Spirit of a City CD's were sold and the audience loved Mel and Angus' unique blend of folk and pop.

The Spirit of a City CD Project was featured at Team Cornwall's Year In Review, held at Aultsville Theatre on Friday, December 18, 2009. Singer/songwriter Sara Murphy opened the event with a few songs, including Fool's Gold, featured on the Spirit of a City CD.
Mark Boileau, from the Cornwall Economic Development Centre, made a presentation highlighting all the positive growth and exciting events that took place over the course of 2009. The CEDC and Team Cornwall have been a major source of funding and support for the compliation CD project (see our sponsor page for a complete list).
