Bishop Paul-Andre Durocher was born in Windsor but grew up in Timmins, Ontario.
His discovery of choral music during his teenage years led him to pursue studies in music at the U.W.O. in London, Ontario.
After ordination to the priesthood, he continued to be involved in liturgical music.
The song featured on the "Spirit of a City" compilation CD was written 25 years ago for the Christmas midnight mass at St. Anthony's Cathedral in Timmins.
Bishop Paul-Andre Durocher currently leads the Roman Catholic Diocese of Alexandria-Cornwall.
