Spirit of a City is a compilation CD featuring 16 Cornwall and area musicians. The CD will be released on November 7, 2009.
The CD is the brainchild of Cornwall musician Sara Murphy. She approached other local artists who were more than happy to donate a song. The graphics for the CD were created by Frank Burelle. The CD was mastered at Dream Builder Studios in Cornwall, and manufactured by Healey Discs in Ottawa.
Several genres of music are represented on the CD, which has been supported by a variety of community sponsors.
All proceeds from the sale of the CD will go to the Cornwall Community Hospital Foundation.
A CD Release Event will be held on November 7th at 8:00pm, at Indie Guitars / DreamBuilderStudios at 2107 Second Street West. The night will feature live performances by Stephanie Coleman, Graham Greer, The General Electryk and Trench Town Oddities. The event will feature a cash bar and refreshments, courtesy of Moustache Joe’s.
